Need Physical Healing?
Let me say at the beginning. This is not Reiki, and has no connection to Reiki in any way.
Many people have come to us in need of physical healing and deliverance. Some have walked away miraculously healed and/or delivered. Some have not. After a number of years, during which time, many people have received prayer for physical healing and/or deliverance, here are some observations:
1. Don't neglect medical science. It is possible that your infirmity is simply a matter of chemistry. If it is appropriate to your case, see your medical doctor, but place your trust in God. Doctors can help us find out what is wrong, so that prayer can be made specific to your situation. Also, some of the medicines, used by doctors today, are chemical cousins of herbs used in biblical times.
2. Infirmity is usually related to sin, or lack of self control in some area. Some infirmities are the result of demon possession, or oppression. In those cases, the demon must be cast out in Jesus' name. Many scriptures confirm this.
However, sin is not always the problem. It is a cruel practice, to tell a person that their infirmity is due to sin in their life. This may be the case, but it may not. See the gospel of John 9:1-3 .
3. One of the most common reasons, why healing is not received, is the failure to forgive others for their sins against us. See Matthew 6:14-15 & Mark 11:23-26 .
4. God does not take pleasure in sickness, suffering and death. It is not God's perfect will for you to be sick or suffering, or to die. Satan is real, and he does take pleasure in human suffering. He brought these things into the world, by the temptation of Adam and Eve. He continues to do so, by tempting us. The same book ( the Bible ) that tells us that Jesus is Lord, the Son of God, tells us that Satan is very real, and not to be taken lightly.
5. The ability to receive healing and/or deliverance, is closely related to a person's willingness to surrender his/her life, thought, and conduct, to God. Often there is confusion as to what God's will is. It is not necessarily what a preacher says. It is what God says in His word. Clean, common sense living can go a long way toward getting you healthy,- and keeping you healthy! If you are addicted to tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, or drugs, do what you have to do, to kick those habits. If you can't do it on your own, get whatever professional help you need, to set you free. If you don't, you are asking for continued weakness, depression, and poor health, in general.
6. Some nutritional experts are now saying that cancer, and some viruses and bacteria, cannot live in an ALKALINE environment. There are evidently certain foods that make your body more alkaline. Some say that eating a few FIGS, and/or RAISINS, is an effective way to bring the body into a slightly alkaline condition. Other foods mentioned as alkalizing foods are, CARROTS, and SPINACH. Lists of ALKALIZING FOODS can be found quite easily, using internet search engines. Who knows? If a person has cancer, and the doctors have given no hope, it is certainly worth a try!
7. Depression is frequently the result of a person trying to live in rebellion against God and His commandments. God's laws are for our own good. He wants us to be happy, healthy, and prosperous. When we live in rebellion against God or in disobedience to His laws, we will soon become unhappy and depressed!
8. There are many ways in which a person can be healed or delivered. We have found that, for illness, the method described in James 5:14-16 is the most effective. Even the apostles anointed the infirmed with oil,- in the name of the Lord.
9. Sometimes, a miracle healing, that is received in a large healing crusade, where the anointing of God is strong, doesn't last, because the root cause of the infirmity has not been dealt with. God wants the whole being transformed, not just the physical body repaired. Some times people fall under the power ( are slain in the Spirit ) and receive healing or deliverance. But frequently, the result is only temporary. Again, God wants your whole being transformed, not just your body!
