Donna and Tim are both products of public school systems. Tim taught in a public school for over 20 years. It is important to understand that the public schools of today are not like the public schools of 20 or more years ago.
In the past, our public schools, reflected the fact that we understood that we are a nation under God. In the past, our schools recognized, and taught, that each of us were endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable
rights. The few godly teachers, who remain in the establishment public school systems today, are not allowed to teach right and wrong as we know it. Fornication and adultery are now acceptable as long as it is between consenting adults. Teenage sex is now ok as long as condoms are used. The murder of unborn children is now ok, and if you need an abortion, they'll help you get it. Homosexual behavior is now ok. It's just another lifestyle, which they think we should accept. If we don't think that is right, they think we need re-education.
Our public school systems are a disaster, because they are administered by state and national agencies filled with adults, who don't even embrace kindergarten standards of right and wrong. They think it is ok to dump their abominable standards of morality on our children.
One of the things they fear the most, is that we will take on our God given responsibility, and God commanded responsibility, and educate our own children. We hear that we parents aren't qualified or "certified". They don't want us to know that a politically correct person, with the morals of an alley cat, can get certified today. They try to tell us that home schoolers miss out on "socialization skills". They won't be happy until STD's are at epidemic proportions. They think it's ok if our children are killed, as long as they get socialization skills, because they'll provide us, and the school, with counseling! They think it's ok that our children bond with other children and adults, rather than us, the parents.
That's just a few of the reasons why we were home school parents, and home school advocates. For more info on home schooling, ( We have homeschooled our son from kindergarten thru high school graduation. )
