" Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; "
" but, exhort one another daily, while it is called " Today, " lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. "
" For we have become partakers of Christ IF WE HOLD THE BEGINNING OF OUR CONFIDENCE STEADFAST TO THE END, "

( Hebrews 3:12-19 )" ...God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, "
" who exchanged the truth of God for the
LIE, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. "
( Romans 1:24-25 )There are many reasons for unbelief. We know quite a few:
1. A particular sin or sinful lifestyle - It would be painful to give it up.
2. Plain laziness - It would be work to seek out the truth about spiritual matters and take time away from " more important things " , and it might require changes in the way a person lives.
3. False teaching - There's a ton of it out there. And, some of it comes from very impressive sources,- educators at various levels, government agencies and officials, professors and famous scholars, famous religious figures etc.
4. Deceptive visions and experiences - The Bible tells us that Satan is behind these. He can even turn himself into an angel of light!
I ran into a new one last week. A person from Europe claimed to have had a near death experience. It sounded like he/she attempted suicide, died, and then was brought back to life by paramedics, although all I got for information was bits and pieces. In our day of modern medicine and medical miracles, this is not unusual. Most people who have this kind of experience come back as changed people and are very " religious ", however this one was using the experience as an excuse for unbelief.
It is a tragic mistake to use a near death experience as an excuse for unbelief. A person having a near death experience is having just that,- a near death experience. Until the human spirit is in its permanent eternal dwelling place, there is no reason to accept the account as having any truthful information concerning what happens beyond the grave. And, when that happens, the person doesn't return to tell us anything. The account that Jesus gave of a poor man named Lazarus and a rich man
( Luke 16:19- ) tells us that once a person is truly dead,- there is a gulf between those who have been granted a blessed dwelling place, and those who end up in a place of torment. It also tells us, that those who enter either the place of blessing, or the place of torment, are not permitted to return,- to tell their story to anyone.The most damaging excuse for unbelief is the LIE. I'm talking about the myth called evolution. Many, many scientists, who have taken the time to examine this teaching, have abandoned it. This is a very hard thing to do, because in many cases it means a loss of income, and loss of reputation. There is plenty of grant money out there for those who will try to prove the validity of the evolution myth. For those of us who are honest enough to look at the evolution emperor with no clothes, and shout that he is naked, there is only hardship and ridicule.
I for one, am thankful that I chose to spend the time to search out the truth, rather than to blindly follow the lie of the century.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN: THERE IS NOT ONE SHRED OF EVIDENCE TO JUSTIFY A BELIEF IN EITHER KIND OF EVOLUTION,- DARWINIAN GRADUALISM, OR PUNCTUATED EQUILIBRIUM. There is absolutely nothing that is evolving in the environment around us. Yes, there are slight changes that can occur within a species caused by adapting to an environment. We call this microevolution. But,- a rabbit is still a rabbit! There is nothing remotely resembling a change from one kind of organism to another, going on. The record in nature is a record of extinction, not a record of evolution. The so called geologic column is not an age column. It is a density column recording the Genesis flood, and perhaps some smaller, more recent floods. We don't find the fossil missing links that Darwin said would have to be found.
The chemistry that would be required for life to evolve from non-life is absolutely prohibitive. At at least five major steps, the primordial soup theory falls flat on its face. I'm not going to get into those five steps
here. Life couldn't have evolved from non-life,- with or without oxygen, and with or without any of a number of other factors. No one has yet to provide even a wild explanation as to why all living things have all left-handed amino acids and all right-handed sugars. These chemicals can be made in the lab, and isolated, but as soon as they are created, they begin to racemize. ( to revert back to half-left handed and half-right handed ) Creation scientists have disproven evolution so many times, and in so many ways, that it is next to impossible to find an evolutionist willing to participate in a fair debate any more.We are living in a pagan society. As Paul recognized the pagan society of Athens in Acts chapter 17, and dealt with it as such, we must approach evangelism in the same manner, otherwise we will be leading converts to believe in salvation thru a man called Jesus Christ, rather than the true Jesus Christ, the Creator of the universe,- the Son of the living God!
