" The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. " ( 2 Peter 3:9 )
The 3rd chapter of 2nd Peter has much to say about the present time. Peter writes that in the last days, people will scoff at the idea that Jesus Christ is going to return. They will scoff at the truth of the worldwide flood during the time of Noah, and walk according to their own lusts. He warns that the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, and indeed it will. All of the immorality,- all of the lies, all of the phony religion, all of the wicked people in positions of authority,- will be judged.
In these messages, I have told it like it is. Those who read and believe their Bibles know that these things are true. Our nation is a nation in severe decline. Each day it becomes more wicked. Immorality has reached even into the White House. Every day we hear of the worst kind of sins being committed,- murder, rape, sexual immorality, thefts, covetousness,- as if it were nothing. And some of these sins are being committed in the name of law and government.
I don't know how many more of our days the Lord is willing to endure. Indeed, He is longsuffering. If He wasn't, He would have judged the world already.
This brings us to a question: Who is the one He is waiting patiently for? Are you that one? If it is you, I pray that you will repent of your sinful life, before it is too late. Right now, get alone by yourself, and ask God to change your heart. He loves you, and wants so much to bless you. It's up to you!
