False Accusations!

" You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. "
( Exodus 20:16 )

" Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the council sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, but found none.   Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none... "
( Matthew 26:59,60 )

I used to be an ardent supporter of capital punishment.   Due to the present status of our criminal justice system, I have reversed that position.   In the middle of the 20th century, the prosecution of a case usually depended upon the testimony of witnesses.   That is precisely the Biblical position.   We are told that a person should not be put to death, except upon the testimony of two or more witnesses.   Since that time, more and more cases have been successfully prosecuted, on the basis of " circumstantial evidence ", or " expert testimony ".

We have recently witnessed, in the Boston area news media, the release of two men who have served about 30 years in jail each, because of the testimony of two false witnesses, who were also FBI agents.   We now know, that these two men, jailed for 30 years, were totally innocent.   We now know, that false testimony is possible, even from the most trusted sources.   We can only guess at how many innocent people have been put to death, without mercy.

How has this happened?   It has happened because of the breakdown in the moral fibre of our nation.   Fifty years ago, most people knew about God, and about the horrible judgement which awaits false accusers at the Great White Throne.   Today, most have been brainwashed to believe that they don't have to worry about such things, because they all got here by
evolution.   Nothing has changed, except the attitude of our society.   False accusers will still appear before the Great White Throne, and will still be cast into the lake of fire.

I believe that most christians have, at one time or another, have been the victims of a false accusation.   Paul wrote to Timothy that " ...all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. "   I can only pray that these false accusers will repent, before it is too late.   I would not wish the lake of fire upon anyone.   I can only pray that those, who prosecute christians, will repent of their lack of attention to seeking the truth, and their zeal to " get " someone.   Much of our justice system today is motivated by zeal,- and by fear.   That's scary!

It is interesting to note the contrast in scripture, between lying and false accusations.   Most people think they are the same, but they are not.   A false accusation is a vicious attack upon another human being.   Being the victim of a false accusation, is like being the victim of rape.   Even though you are innocent, and know you are innocent, many people believe you are at fault.

Nothing has changed my friends.   Right is still right, and wrong is still wrong.   The Holy Bible is only reliable place to tell the difference.   Romans chapter 1 is still true, in spite of the lies being promoted by what is falsely called science.   True scientists still believe the Holy Scriptures, and they always will.   Whether they be in the majority, or in a very small minority, is irrelevant.   God doesn't operate on democratic principles.   He operates on " THUS SAYS THE LORD! "   Accept that, or be prepared for the horror of the Great White Throne!
