Islam?   Christianity?   What's the Difference?

                 

Their claims:

Islam's God is Allah.	Christianity's God is the God of Israel.
Allah is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe.	God is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe.
Allah is the only true God, and is one person only.	God ( Yahowah ) is the only true God, and is manifested in three persons,- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Rejects the teaching that Jesus ( or anyone else ) is the Son of God.	Teaches that Jesus Christ ( Savior Messiah - as translated from the original language ) was God in human flesh.
Allah is merciful, yet punishes evil doers.	God is merciful, yet punishes evil doers.
Allah rewards those who do good.	God rewards those who do good.
Islam's Founder - Mohammed	Christianity's Founder - Jesus Christ
The founder was Allah's messenger ( prophet ).	The founder was Yeshua Messiah, ( Jesus Christ ) the only begotten Son of God and God in human flesh.
Source of truth - The Quran	Source of truth - The Holy Bible
The Quran is the word of Allah.	The Bible is the word of God.
Quran written ~ 600 to 700 AD	Bible written ~ 2000 BC to 100 AD
The Quran was compiled by followers of Mohammed after his death.	The Bible was written by about 40 different authors.   Some were Israelites,- followers of the God of Israel.   Some were followers of Yeshua Messiah ( Jesus Christ ).
Islam rejects some Old and New Testament teachings.	True Christianity accepts all Old and New Testament teachings.
Salvation is achieved by becoming a Muslim,- and doing good works.	Salvation is through faith, " and that not of yourselves;   It is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."
True believers will demonstrate their faith with good deeds.	True believers will demonstrate their faith with good deeds.

This is one of the things that Christ really said:

" Do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,'You are blaspheming,' because I said,' I am the Son of God'?
John 10:36

This is who Christ really is:

" Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus ( Messiah Savior ), who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,   but made himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, and coming in the likeness of men.   And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.   Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus ( Savior ) every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ ( Savior Messiah ) is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. "
Phillipians 2:5-11

Submission?   If you're not submitting to this commandment and confessing Jesus ( Savior ) as the Lord of your life, you're not submitting to God.

It is the teaching of Muslim extremists that Allah is pleased by having you give him your son or daughter to be a suicide bomber,- to kill others along with himself/herself.   It is the teaching of Christianity that God is pleased to give His Son to die for you.   Allah says," Give your son to die for me? " God says," I gave my Son to die for you. "   What a difference!

It is often said that Muslims and Christians worship the same God.   In a loose sense that is true, however, there is a substantial difference between the commandments attributed to Allah and the commandments of God.   Muslims openly reject a number of Biblical teachings.   We can only pray that they will repent and obey God's commandments.
