" ...evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived "
( 2 Timothy 3:13 )" Professing to be wise, they became fools... "
( Romans 1:22 )I have only a vague memory of when I first heard the expression," millions of years ". I can't tell you how old I was, or who I heard it from. I think maybe I was about 10. I remember only that I was confused. Up until that time, I had thought the earth was only a few thousand years old, as the Bible seems to indicate. I didn't realize that this was my first exposure to evolutionary teaching. At that time, I didn't know anything about evolution.
I don't remember who it was that said, or wrote something about millions of years. It could have been one of my parents. It could have been a school teacher. It could have been something I heard over the radio, or read in a newspaper. ( TV was pretty rare then. ) It could have even been something I heard in my church. The most important part of this, is that like most young people, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS BEING LIED TO!
Most people automatically believe what they are told,- especially if the information is coming from a parent, or a member of the clergy, or a teacher, or a professor, or someone on TV, or a respected newspaper or magazine,- a source that they trust. Fortunately, I have always been one to question just about everything that isn't obvious. I questioned that millions of years statement right into college. By the time I had reached college age, we were being told that the earth was not millions of years, but actually 4 1/2 billion years old. Isn't that amazing? IN ONLY 10 YEARS, THE EARTH HAD BECOME 4 BILLIONS OF YEARS OLDER! That alone should tell you something about believing what people tell you, without questioning it.
When you hear " millions of years " or " billions of years ", it is the result of old fashioned geology teaching, followed up by the deceptive techniques known as " radiometric dating ", or " atomic clocks ".
No. Of course, there is no such thing as an atomic clock. But, if you are a geologist who wants to convince non scientists of the validity of these dating methods, you come up with a name like " atomic clocks ". It sounds very impressive.
Old fashioned geology looked at the results of things like erosion, or sediment build ups and determining that it MUST HAVE taken so many millions of years for this to take place.
Now, I quickly tell people that there is no such thing as millions of years, or billions of years. This is just nonsense being peddled by false
teachers. Let me explain. There is a very good explanation of carbon dating ( a short term atomic clock ) and other, longer term atomic clocks, how they work, and what's wrong with them, on this web page:
Atomic Clocks Explained Much of what is taught in schools is nothing more than a rehash of something that the teachers learned from other teachers, who in turn had learned from previous teachers. You can see how easily a lie can be perpetuated and transmitted to millions of unsuspecting students. Here's how that millions of years idea started. Obviously there wasn't anyone around a few million years ago to observe and record happenings and surroundings. What they do is this:
There are thousands of chemical and physical processes taking place all around us. Frequently the rate, at which these processes are taking place, can be measured. It is possible to ASSUME a set of starting conditions for that particular process. We can then examine the present conditions in question, and calculate an approximate date for whatever it is that we are looking at.
For example: If you measure the rate at which uranium decays by radiation,- changing into lead, and you ASSUME something about the starting ratio of uranium to lead, you come up with an age of the earth of 4 1/2 billion years. What they don't tell you is this. There are hundreds of processes that have been examined like this. Each process comes up with a different age! Now, 4 1/2 BILLION YEARS FITS NICELY INTO AN EVOLUTIONARY THEORY THAT WAS DEVELOPED LONG BEFORE RADIOMETRIC DATING, SO THAT IS THE ONE THAT THEY USE. Some of these processes, and their ASSUMPTIONS, yield ridiculously large ages. Others yield ages which are ridiculously small. ( a few hundred years or so ).
By the way, if you have a sample that you would like to have dated by radiometric dating, they won't date it for you, unless you first tell them where you got it. ( so they can fit the date into what geologic theory tells them the strata should yield ) I talked with one of these geochemists, that does radiometric dating, a few years ago. He admitted that they got a lot of " discordant " readings! You bet they do!
Also, beware of the so-called " isochron " dating techniques. They supposedly eliminate error. However, if all the test dates are discordant, as they well may be, due to the bias in running the tests, the isochrons are a useless exercise in graphing.
If there are pieces of Noah's Ark left on Mt. Ararat, AND THERE ARE, you can forget evolution. To see some photos of pieces of Noah's Ark, click here:
Photos of Pieces of Noah's Ark! The bottom line is this: Both evolution and creation are impossible by natural processes. We have reliable statements made by Jesus Christ, who was a participant, as well as a witness to creation. There were hundreds of reliable witnesses to His life, His teaching, His death, and His resurrection. That's why many churches still still celebrate things like Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter, after almost two thousand years.
Have you been brainwashed by those whom you have trusted? Seek the truth and you will soon find it. Don't allow false teaching to condemn you and your loved ones to eternal life in hell. What do you want your children to believe? Do you want them to believe the lies about evolution, or the truth that God created the world,- just like it is recorded in the Bible? Maybe you should make the sacrifice and home school your children, like we do.
We welcome the opportunity to minister to you. If your church, cell group, or Bible study, in Gulf County or Bay County, in the Florida panhandle, needs a Wed. eve. speaker, let us know. Send us an e-mail. We are in your area! God bless you. Have a great week.
