I've seen it dozens of times. People go out and spend a lot of money on drugs, or booze, or worse. The next day, they are hung over, tired, sick, or depressed. As soon as they have some extra money, the cycle is repeated again and again. Are they happy? No! The people begin to hate themselves. When this cycle continues over a long period of time, the result, far too often, is suicide.
That's if they are fortunate. It could be even worse. The cycle could lead to an unwanted pregnancy, or an auto accident that caused damage, or injury, or even death.
The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way. God has a plan for your life that will make you healthy, and happy, and even prosperous ( not useless luxuries,- but supplying what you really need to make you healthy and happy ) .
I was what society would call a good person. I never drank, smoked, or did drugs, or anything like that. I still don't. I don't think I will ever be so stupid as to destroy my body. My friends are mostly christians, and home schooled christian young people, like me, so they don't get me into trouble.
But after I read the whole Bible, I realized that being a good person wasn't going to get me to Heaven. The Bible says that there are none righteous, no not one. ( Read Psalms chapter 14. )   This means that even though I thought I was a good person, I was still not living the way God wanted me to live, and bearing fruits worthy of repentance. ( Matthew 3:8 &
Luke 3:8 ) Then, I decided that I better do something about it.I prayed to God and told Him that if I was going to be any better, He would have to change me. So, I asked Him to forgive my sins and change me. He did! Even though I had been baptized once before, I wanted to be baptized again, because the first time, I didn't totally understand what it was all about.
On July 7, 2001 I was baptized in Lake Winnipesaukee, at Ellacoya State Park, in Gilford, New Hampshire.
You see, baptism doesn't really change a person. Notice in Matthew 3:2, the first thing that John the Baptist did was to preach repentance. Notice also that in Luke chapter 3 that the people ask John what they should do after they are baptized. Repentance means a change of mind. The people who came to be baptized by John, realized that the going down beneath the water represented the death of the old person, who wanted to sin all the time. The rising up out of the water signified the beginning of the new life in Christ. I know that I could never have changed myself. I am depending upon God to complete what He has begun in me. The Bible says that when we are in Christ, we are new creations.
I feel sorry for the public school kids that I know. Most of them have been brainwashed to believe in that occult myth called evolution. The truth is that there is nothing scientific about evolution. You can find out a little about what is wrong with this myth by clicking on the " Evolution Myth " link below.
The earth is a like a wound up clock. Complex chemicals, like the ones within us, are formed only with large inputs of energy. Even with the help of our DNA, RNA, and a lot of food energy, humans eventually die and decay. No new species being formed. That's why we are so worried about endangered species. Extinctions are taking place at a frightening rate.

The fossil record? The geologic column? The only place where you will find it is in textbooks. There's no such thing. All there is, is a collection of fossils, and the fossils often aren't found in the order shown in the geologic column charts. Don't let the deceivers fool you.
If you want to have a new relationship with God like I have, here's what you need to do: Take an honest look at yourself. Admit to yourself, and to God, that you are not living the way you should live. You can talk to God anytime, anywhere because God is a Spirit. He's always there, even though you can't see Him. It's best to do this when you're alone. Talk to God, just as you would talk to me. Tell Him that you are sorry for the way you have been living, and that you would like Him to give you a new heart and human spirit. Keep asking Him until you know that you are a new creation. ( Jeremiah 31:31-34 )
After that, He'll do the rest. Read your Bible every day, and make it your goal to read the whole Bible, so that you will learn more about Him, and how He wants you to live. Seek to have Him baptize you with the Holy Spirit to give you the power to live a successful christian life.
